The senator representating Enugu East Senatorial Zone, Senator Sir. Kelvin Chukwu, has described as false and phony, the issue of release of two trailer loads of rice to each Senator for the Christmas.
Senator Chukwu gave the clarification while addressing groups of constituents who came on a solidarity visit at his country home, Amuri, in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State.

The senator stated that he was initially reluctant to react to the mischievous propaganda and unwarranted insinuation that he diverted two trailer loads of rice meant for Enugu East Senatorial Zone, but due to incessant calls from constituents, the clarification became necessary to set the record straight and dislodge those playing politics with it.
He noted that he neither received any money nor rice as palliatives for the senatorial zone let alone diverting it.
Senator Chukwu reassured of his commitment to quality, effective and accountable representation while appealing to the constituents to always verify information before dissemination.
He noted that he has achieved a lot in his few months in the National Assembly, stressing that the interest of the people will always come first in all his engagement as a senator.

Chukwu thanked Ndi Enugu East zone for the trust reposed on him culminating into massive votes at the polls and promised to reward them with quality representation anchored on the will of the people.
