Akwa Ibom Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has extended support to the family of the late Nollywood makeup artist, Abigael Frederick, who tragically lost her life in a recent boat accident.

Frederick, along with five other film practitioners, including Junior Pope, perished when their boat capsized in the River Niger.

Upon his return from an official engagement in Abuja, Governor Eno personally visited the family’s compound in Ikot Udoma, Eket Local Government Area, to offer his condolences.

Expressing deep sympathy, he sat with the grieving family members, acknowledging their pain.

Highlighting Frederick’s entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to her craft, Governor Eno lamented her untimely demise.

He praised her determination to pursue her passion independently and emphasized the resilience of the youth in the state.

In a gesture of support, Governor Eno announced the renovation of the family house and granted an automatic civil service job to Frederick’s surviving elder sister.

He pledged assistance for her two younger sisters, who are currently pursuing their studies at the University of Uyo.

The governor ensured that Frederick’s body was returned to the state for a proper burial, underscoring the government’s commitment to honoring her memory.
