The somber atmosphere enveloped Ikot Udoma, Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, as family, friends, and colleagues bid farewell to the late Nollywood makeup artist, Abigail Frederick, 24, on Monday.
Frederick, tragically lost in a boat mishap on the River Niger last Wednesday, was among five film practitioners, including Junior Pope, whose lives were claimed by the unfortunate incident.

Honoring the Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno’s directive for her proper burial in her hometown, Frederick’s body was returned to Ikot Udoma after being initially laid to rest by the riverbank.
Sunday, April 14, marked the solemn occasion of exhuming her body, followed by a poignant candle-light procession in her honor.
At the funeral service officiated by the Church of Christ, Ikot Udoma, dignitaries, including Eket Transition Committee Chairman, Akaniyene Tommey, Commissioner for Tourism, Charles Udoh, and SA on Entertainment, Moses Eskor, joined in paying their respects.
Also present were Godfada Uko, members of the Eket Transition Committee, renowned Nollywood actress Eve Esin, alongside the Nollywood community, friends, and sympathizers.
In a heartfelt farewell, the community and the entertainment industry bid adieu to a talent whose light was extinguished too soon, leaving behind cherished memories and an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her.
