The Enugu state police command has apprehended Maduabuchi Okonkwo, a 24-year-old individual from Mkpologu Ememe Enugu, for dealing in counterfeit currency.
Okonkwo was arrested on Wednesday around 3 pm with over N40,000 worth of fake naira notes.

According to DSP Daniel Ndukwe, the police spokesperson, Okonkwo’s luck ran out while attempting to pay his fare with the counterfeit money in Enugu.
The driver, upon closer inspection, raised an alarm upon discovering the fake notes.
Following his arrest, Okonkwo will undergo investigation and subsequently face court proceedings.
