Following widespread outrage sparked by a viral video allegedly showing a lecturer engaging in sexual harassment of a female student, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), has taken swift action by suspending the accused lecturer, Mr. Mfonobong Udoudom.
Mr. Udoudom, reportedly a lecturer in the General Studies division of the university, was captured in the video wearing only boxers.

The incident, although the exact date remains unconfirmed, prompted immediate action from the university management.
In a statement released on Tuesday by the Acting Public Relations Officer, Chief Okwun Omeaku, UNN announced the indefinite suspension of Mr. Udoudom pending the outcome of a disciplinary panel’s investigation.
The statement clarified that Mr. Udoudom is not a professor and emphasized the university’s zero-tolerance policy towards sexual misconduct involving staff and students.
UNN highlighted its commitment to upholding a Sexual Harassment Policy, aimed at safeguarding the welfare of students and staff.
The university vowed to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter and assured that appropriate sanctions would be applied if Mr. Udoudom is found guilty by the disciplinary panel.
