The Nigerian film industry, Nollywood, is in mourning following the passing of veteran actor Zulu Adigwe.
Adigwe, renowned for his iconic portrayal of Mr. B in Ken Saro-Wiwa’s classic soap opera ‘Basi and Company’ in 1987, breathed his last on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

The news was confirmed by film producer Stanley Nwoko via Instagram. However, the cause of Adigwe’s death remains undisclosed.
In a heartfelt post, Nwoko expressed his sorrow, stating, “I regret to announce the passing of a veteran actor, the late Mr. Zulu Adigwe. What caused his death is yet to be reviewed. Rest in peace, good actor.”
Adigwe’s recent memorable performance as Pascal Nworie in Ramsey Nouah’s remake of ‘Living in Bondage’ showcased his enduring talent and versatility.
Throughout his illustrious career, Adigwe left an indelible mark on the Nollywood landscape, featuring in a plethora of productions including ‘Blood of the Orphan’, ‘Blood Diamonds’, ‘Face of a Liar’, ‘Unforgettable’, ‘Issakaba’, and ‘Forbidden Land’.
His legacy as a talented actor and his contributions to Nigerian cinema will forever be remembered.
