Following the Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission (GOSIEC) announcement, the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged victorious in all 11 chairmanship seats and secured 114 councillorship positions in the recently concluded local government council polls.
GOSIEC confirmed that the APC clinched all 114 councillorship positions uncontested, as no other party fielded candidates against the ruling party.

However, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State has rejected the election results, denouncing them as an affront to democracy and a theatrical display.
In response to the disputed outcome, the PDP is exploring avenues for redress, while preparations are underway for the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected local government council officials scheduled for tomorrow, presided over by Governor Inuwa Yahaya.
