The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has raised a red flag regarding the authenticity of printed result slips for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Contrary to circulating claims, JAMB clarified that the results are currently unavailable in paper format and cannot be accessed via its website.

According to Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s spokesperson, candidates can only check their 2024 UTME results by sending UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number used during registration.

It emphasized that the SIM card should not be on any data bundle during the process.

Unlike the previous year, where results were accessible on the Board’s website, this year’s results follow a different retrieval process.

JAMB urges candidates to refrain from visiting cybercafes or engaging third-party services for result verification.

Moreover, the public is cautioned against candidates presenting printed result slips, as the current results are not available in paper format.

A substantial number of candidates have successfully accessed their results through the prescribed method.

Earlier in the week, JAMB announced the release of the 2024 UTME results during a press briefing. Out of the total registered candidates, which numbered 1,904,109, 80,810 were absent from the examination.

Additionally, 64,624 results are under scrutiny for various reasons, including verification, procedural investigations, and suspected exam misconduct.

Center-based investigations involving 57,056 candidates across 18 centers nationwide are also underway.
