Elders and stakeholders from the Edeaniegu clan in Ishi-Ozalla, Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State, have pleaded with Governor Peter Mbah to intervene in the crisis rocking Ishi-Ozalla Community before it spreads to other parts of the State.

Addressing reporters in Ishi-Ozalla, the concerned citizens condemned the level of segregation leading to the ostracization of people from seven villages, emphasizing that such behavior cannot be tolerated in a civilized society.
Chief Anthony Nweke lamented that the crisis is tearing the once peaceful community apart and called for urgent intervention.

Additionally, octogenarian, Chief Joseph Nweke expressed concern that the longstanding crisis is not only dividing the younger generation but also hindering the overall development of the community.
Secretary of Onwude/Edeanieagu family home base, Sunday Nevo, and another indigene, Pastor Luke Eze, emphasized that the crisis poses a significant threat to peaceful co-existence in the community, urging people of goodwill to intervene.
They urged Chief Chukwuma Nweke and his associates to refrain from actions that could further escalate the crisis and instead promote peace, justice, and sustainable development in Ishi-Ozalla.
They further disassociated themselves from any form of leadership in Ishi-Ozalla until the crisis is resolved.
