Zulum underscored his desire to return to academia after his tenure as governor, emphasizing that his motivations are not financial but driven by a commitment to contribute to the educational system.
Addressing an audience of professors and academics, Zulum requested their support in achieving his academic ambitions.
He highlighted his background as both a lecturer and student at the university, expressing a strong connection to the academic community.
He also identified funding as a critical challenge for the university and called for innovative strategies to generate sustainable revenue.
Drawing on his experience as the Rector of Ramat Polytechnic, Zulum proposed investments in livestock production, poultry, and commercial agriculture as key areas for development.
Zulum pledged to tackle issues related to power, water, and academic challenges facing the university.
He commended Prof. Shugaba for his leadership, particularly in maintaining peace and stability during his tenure despite challenges such as COVID-19, the Treasury Single Account (TSA), and the IPPS.
