On Friday, members of the organised labour announced an indefinite strike in response to the federal government’s refusal to increase the minimum wage from N60,000.

Joe Ajaero, the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), revealed the decision during a press conference at Labour House in Abuja.

He stated that the strike is set to commence at midnight on Sunday, June 2, 2024.

Ajaero emphasized that the labour unions are united in their demand for a fair and livable minimum wage, and the strike will continue until their demands are met.
