The Federal Government has put forward a revised offer to the organised labour, proposing an increase in the national minimum wage from ₦60,000 to ₦62,000.

In response, the organised labour has adjusted their initial demand from ₦494,000 to ₦250,000.

Despite the new proposal, the Tripartite Committee on the New National Minimum Wage has adjourned without reaching a consensus.

Reports indicate that the organised private sector has accepted the government’s new offer of ₦62,000.
