Reiterates Commitment to Purposeful Representation

The Senator representing Enugu East Senatorial zone, Senator Sir Kelvin Chukwu, has officially flagged off the construction of the Agbani-Amurri-Ugbawka roads.

This significant development was met with widespread jubilation from residents who have long awaited infrastructure improvements in their communities.

During the flag-off ceremony on Sunday, Senator Chukwu emphasized the importance of these roads in enhancing connectivity, promoting economic activities, and improving the overall quality of life for the people of the area.

He assured the residents that the project would be completed within the stipulated time frame and meet the highest standards of professionalism.

Senator Chukwu, accompanied by his wife, Engr. Dr. Ngozi Eli-Chukwu, reiterated his commitment to delivering on his campaign promises and working tirelessly to bring more developmental projects to Ndi Enugu East Senatorial zone.

He outlined plans for additional projects aimed at improving healthcare, empowering the youth, enhancing education, and fostering economic development, among others.

The Labour Party Parliamentarian further called on the residents to continue supporting his efforts and to remain united in the pursuit of progress and development.

Speaking on behalf of all the traditional rulers in Amurri, His Royal Highness Igwe Fidelis Nsiegbu thanked the senator for initiating the project and appealed to the contractor handling it to expeditiously deliver quality roads, assuring the community’s cooperation throughout the project.

Other leaders, including Chief John Nwani, who spoke on behalf of President Generals, the Labour Party Deputy Chairman in Enugu State, Hon. Dr. Maurice Edeh, the traditional ruler of Amafor Ugbawka, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Gabriel Ngene, and Chief Barr. Lucky Chukwu, offered their support and pledged full cooperation to ensure the successful completion of the project.

The traditional ruler of Mmaku Ancient Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Cyprian Nevobasi (Ogirishi-Igbo), assured the people that the roads would be delivered to the highest standards.

Seeking the support of the youth and residents of the communities, the contractor handling the project, Chief Donald Ekete, promised that the project would be executed to the highest standards, with strict adherence to timelines and quality specifications.

The construction of the Agbani-Amurri-Ugbawka roads is part of Senator Chukwu’s broader agenda to address infrastructure deficits within the Enugu East Senatorial Zone.

The residents expressed their gratitude and excitement over the commencement of the road construction, noting that it would greatly ease transportation challenges and open up new opportunities for local businesses and agricultural ventures.

The flag-off ceremony attracted notable political stalwarts, traditional and religious leaders, community leaders, as well as enthusiastic residents.
