The Kano State Government has announced a significant investment of N3 billion to upgrade classroom infrastructure across its 44 Local Government Areas.

Governor Abba Yusuf revealed this initiative during a stakeholders meeting held at the Government House in Kano on Tuesday, emphasizing the project’s goal to create a conducive environment for effective teaching and learning.
In addition to the infrastructure upgrades, Governor Yusuf disclosed plans to employ 17,000 security personnel to ensure the safety of primary schools statewide, with an allocation of 400 personnel per local government.
The personnel will be recruited from the local communities to enhance service delivery.

Each local government council will receive N25 million for renovation efforts, overseen by the Universal Basic Education Board to ensure quality control.
Governor Yusuf stated, “This investment demonstrates the government’s commitment to improving education infrastructure and providing a better learning experience for students.”
