Advertorial
Former President, Donald Trump will participate in the first presidential debate of the 2024 election cycle on Thursday.
This historic debate marks the first-ever face-off between a sitting president and a former president.
Hosted by CNN, the debate also breaks tradition by not being organized by the nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates for the first time in over three decades.
Additionally, it is the earliest presidential debate in modern history, occurring before either candidate has been officially nominated by their respective parties.
Notably, there will be no live studio audience, a significant departure from previous debates.
Debate Timing:
The debate is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, June 27 (2 a.m. Nigeria time), and will take place in CNN’s Atlanta studios. The 90-minute event will include two commercial breaks.
Where to Watch:
The debate will be broadcast live on CNN, CNN International, CNN en Español, and CNN Max. Major cable news networks such as Fox News and ABC will also air the debate live and provide pre- and post-debate coverage.
How to Stream:
CNN will stream the debate live on CNN.com without requiring a cable login. Additionally, media outlets including CNN, USA Today, and various local television stations will stream the debate live on YouTube.
Debate Moderators:
CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash will moderate the debate from a closed studio in Atlanta. CNN political director David Chalian stated that Tapper and Bash will focus on “facilitating the debate between these candidates, not being a participant in that debate.”
