Mr. Ola Olukoyede, the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has commanded the arrest of two officers implicated in the assault of a female employee at Regional Hotel in Ojo, Lagos.

A widely circulated video reveals the officers, dressed in plain clothes, aggressively entering one of the hotel rooms.

The video shows a female hotel staff member attempting to open the door when the officers forcefully barged in.

One of the officers is seen slapping the woman before demanding she leave the room.

This incident was captured on the hotel’s Closed Circuit Television (CCTV).

EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, stated that the incident occurred during an early morning sting operation that led to the arrest of several suspects, who are currently being profiled.

Uwujaren further noted that Mr. Olukoyede has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the operation and pledged that any officer found guilty will face strict disciplinary measures.

“Mr. Olukoyede reassures the public that the EFCC will continue to perform its duties with professionalism and unwavering respect for the rule of law,” Uwujaren’s statement concluded.
