“We have chosen Enugu for the school’s location to contribute to the local economy and offer our people opportunities in the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries,” said Mrs. Obi.

“While the Western part of Nigeria has numerous aviation schools, the travel business encompasses much more than aviation. The Southeast, with its vibrant community of travelers, importers, exporters, and businesspeople, presents a unique opportunity for growth in this sector.”

Mrs. Obi explained that the school aims to address the educational gap in tourism and hospitality, which is not typically included in secondary or tertiary curricula in Nigeria.

She noted that many countries thrive on their tourism sector, contributing significantly to their GDP and providing numerous employment opportunities.

Jands Travel Business School seeks to equip Nigerians with the knowledge and skills to tap into this potential.

The school offers a variety of programs, including the Travel Business Foundation Course, Visa Applications and Procurement Masterclass, Ticketing and Reservations, Customer Service Management and Retention, Hotel Operations, and Tour Packaging and Planning, among others.

Courses range from three days to six weeks in duration, allowing students to learn at their own pace without needing to travel to other regions.

In addition to education, Jands Travel Business School provides comprehensive support for entrepreneurs, including registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA).

This mentorship program ensures that graduates are well-prepared to succeed in the industry.

Mrs. Obi also outlined the services offered by Jands Travel Network, including local and international flight reservations, visa assistance, hotel bookings, tours, training, and global study services.

She emphasized the organization’s commitment to excellence and perfection in service delivery.

Mr. Valentine Obi, Executive Director (Marketing) of Jands Travel Network, reiterated this commitment, highlighting the expertise of the school’s facilitators.

Among them is Mrs. Ruth Mbgemena, who has fifteen years of experience in the industry and serves as a facilitator and faculty member for Ticketing and Reservations.

Mrs. Mbgemena’s role involves teaching the technical aspects of flight reservations, ticket issuing, and sales, as well as industry ethics to prevent scams and ticket racketeering.

She expressed optimism about the school’s future impact, envisioning significant achievements from its graduates in the coming years.

The launch of Jands Travel Business School marks a promising development for the Southeast, poised to transform the region’s travel and tourism landscape.
