Nick Imudia, the former Chief Executive Officer of Konga, one of Nigeria’s leading e-commerce platforms, has reportedly died by suicide.

Imudia is said to have ended his life by jumping from the balcony of his apartment in the Lekki area of Lagos State on the evening of Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

In the hours leading up to his death, Imudia made a phone call to his brother in the United States, giving instructions on how to distribute his wealth.

He also called his young daughter, reassuring her that he would always be with her in spirit.

The news of Imudia’s death has left friends, family, and associates in shock.

The circumstances leading to his decision remain unclear.

Imudia, who hailed from the Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, was previously married, but the marriage ended due to irreconcilable differences.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident to reporters on Thursday.

“Yes, it is true. He committed the act on June 25,” Hundeyin stated.
