The Kogi State House of Assembly has approved a six-month extension for the tenure of the Transition Committee Chairmen.

This decision was made during the House plenary session on Friday.

The extension follows a request from Governor Ahmed Ododo, who cited financial constraints and high wage bills as reasons for the inability to conduct local government elections at this time.
