Dr. G.O.C. Ajah, the chairman of the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB), has stepped down from his position.
Dr. Ajah announced the immediate change during a briefing with his staff on Tuesday morning, citing a minor reshuffling by the state government.

Dr. Hyginus Bankho, previously Member 2 of the Board, has been appointed as the new chairman.
Additionally, Dr. Amaka S. Ngene, who served as Member 1 of the Board, has been reassigned to the Science, Technical, and Vocational Schools Management Board (STVSMB) as its new chairman.
The state government has not provided any reasons for Dr. Ajah’s removal.
