Democratic political strategist, Arshad Hassan has expressed confidence that party delegates will decisively endorse Kamala Harris as their candidate at the Democratic Convention in August.
“We are delegates meant to represent Joe Biden’s voters in our states, so if we say something particular, it carries a lot of weight,”

Hassan said “Moreover, this is for someone who is already on the ticket – so we all have already cast our implicit support for Kamala Harris, and now we have the opportunity to do this explicitly.”
Hassan explained that state party chairs are currently contacting their delegates to gauge support for Harris, following calls from either Biden or his campaign.
“This process is happening swiftly, and I think Harris has a very good shot at getting the support she needs from the delegates at the convention,” he added.
To secure the party’s nomination, Harris needs the backing of at least 1,986 Democratic delegates.
So far, all delegates from Tennessee, Florida, New Hampshire, and Louisiana have endorsed Harris.
Additionally, delegates from North and South Carolina have also announced their support, bringing the total tally to 531.
