In response to the nationwide protest aimed at addressing critical issues like hunger, insecurity, and economic instability, residents of Enugu State and other Southeast states have opted for a sit-at-home approach.

Instead of taking to the streets, many residents were observed carrying out their usual daily routines, albeit cautiously, as security personnel, including soldiers, police officers, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) officials, and vigilante groups, maintained a visible presence to uphold law and order.

Significant reductions in vehicular movement were noted across major roads in Enugu metropolis and connecting routes to neighboring areas.

Most streets, both within cities and between them, as well as government offices, shops, and markets, appeared deserted.

This apparent quietude was attributed to apprehensions among residents, expressed anonymously, about the uncertain situation.
