Hundreds of protesters seized control of the Kaduna-Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway yesterday as part of the nationwide demonstration against hunger in Nigeria.

The protesters, predominantly teenagers and children, were seen waving leaves and carrying placards with messages such as “Bama so,” “Tinubu Must Go,” and “We Are Hungry.”

Motorists and motorcyclists traveling on the expressway were compelled to display leaves before being permitted to proceed to their destinations.
