On the third day of the #EndBadGovernance protests, police in Abuja used gunfire and tear gas to disperse demonstrators gathered at the Moshood Abiola Stadium.

The protesters, who had initially avoided the venue earlier in the day, returned with flags and placards.

However, police on the scene fired shots into the air and deployed tear gas to disperse the crowd.

In response, many protesters quickly fled the area, some getting into their vehicles to escape the confrontation.
