The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Okpebholo the winner of the Edo governorship election held on September 21.

However, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected the outcome, alleging that the election process was tainted by irregularities.

Despite the PDP’s protests, Okpebholo was ushered into the Villa alongside the APC leaders to meet with President Tinubu.
