The protest, tagged #FearlessInOctober, was organized by civil society groups under the #EndBadGovernance movement, coinciding with Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day celebrations.
However, unlike previous protests, including one in August, this demonstration struggled to gain significant momentum.
The protest, which also saw marches in Lagos, was aimed at raising awareness about the recent hike in fuel prices, escalating food costs, and the harsh effects of inflation on everyday Nigerians.
