The Action Peoples Party (APP) has secured a significant victory in the Rivers State local government elections, winning 22 out of 23 available chairmanship seats.
This was disclosed by the Chief Election Officer of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, Justice Adolphus Enebeli, during an announcement in Port Harcourt on Saturday.

However, Enebeli noted that results from Etche Local Government Area are yet to be finalized, with the collation process still ongoing.
The outcome for Etche LGA, along with the results of the 319 councillorship seats, will be announced at a later date.
