Tinubu has returned to Nigeria following a two-week working vacation in the United Kingdom.
His plane landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Saturday evening, where he was greeted by key government officials, including the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje; Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila; and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu.

Presidential aide Dada Olusegun confirmed the president’s arrival, sharing on social media, “The eagle has landed. Welcome home, Mr President.”
Tinubu’s working leave, which began on October 2, was part of his annual vacation. While away, he reportedly balanced rest with reflections on his administration’s progress since assuming office in May 2023.

Speaking on Tinubu’s return, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila stated that the president is “rejuvenated” and ready to continue leading the country.
Gbajabiamila noted that the government’s focus will now shift to refining its policies and delivering on promises.
“Now that he’s back in Nigeria, all hands are back on deck,” he said, adding that Nigerians will soon see the impact of the president’s hard work.
The two-week leave provided Tinubu an opportunity to reflect and recharge, as his administration continues its efforts under the banner of “Renewed Hope.”
