A fire broke out on a section of the Lagos Blue Line rail track near the NEPA Station, close to the Eko Bridge in the Apogbon area of Lagos State.

Gboyega Akosile, spokesperson for Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, shared updates on the incident via his ‘X’ handle, confirming that there were no casualties and that no train services were operating at the time of the fire.

He stated, “No casualty is reported and no train service at the time of the incident. A team of safety and emergency personnel, along with first responders, have successfully extinguished the fire.”

Akosile assured residents in the area that the situation is under control, allowing them to continue their daily activities without concern.
