In a heartfelt tribute, the Imo State Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police Aboki Danjuma, distributed Christmas gifts to the families of 30 officers who lost their lives while serving in the line of duty.

The ceremony, which took place on Monday, December 23, at the Police Headquarters in Owerri, was designed to honor the brave officers and provide some comfort to their families during the holiday season.

Each family received essential items, including bags of rice, a live cow, and monetary gifts, as tokens of appreciation for their sacrifice and service to the state.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Sirajo Fana, speaking on behalf of the Commissioner, emphasized the command’s commitment to the welfare of officers’ families, particularly during such significant times.

“This gesture underscores our dedication to supporting the families of our fallen heroes and ensuring their well-being,” he remarked.

Mrs. Gift Richard Ubi, one of the beneficiaries, expressed her deep appreciation for the thoughtful gesture.

“This gift is not only a material relief but also an emotional comfort, especially during the Christmas period,” she said, representing the collective gratitude of the families.
