Dubbed “Changing Gears 2.0,” the budget aims to propel growth and development across vital sectors of the state.

The signing ceremony took place at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia, with confirmation provided by a statement issued on Tuesday by the governor’s Press Secretary, Christian Aburime.

Governor Soludo explained that the 2025 budget focuses on sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and public safety, all of which are integral to his administration’s vision of improving the state’s socio-economic standing.

“The budget focuses on execution and acceleration. It is our commitment to investing in education, strengthening healthcare services, and constructing crucial infrastructure, including roads and bridges, to improve the lives of our people,” Soludo stated.

He further emphasized the strong support the budget received from the state legislature, highlighting its importance in addressing the core needs of Anambra residents.

The governor stressed the necessity for effective implementation to realize the budget’s goals.

“The success of this budget will depend on the deliverables and the systems put in place for its execution,” he added.

Soludo called on ministries, departments, and agencies to begin implementing projects and programs that align with the budget’s objectives, ensuring the promises made during its planning are fulfilled.

The event was attended by Deputy Governor Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, members of the State Executive Council, legislative leaders, and representatives from civil society groups.

Soludo also expressed appreciation for the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Somtochukwu Udeze, and other legislators for their collaborative and bipartisan support in passing the budget.

Chiamaka Nnake, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, praised the budget as a key instrument in driving Anambra’s sustainable development forward.
