Former U.S. President Bill Clinton is currently in a Washington hospital for testing and observation after experiencing a fever, according to his deputy chief of staff.
Angel Ureña shared on X (formerly Twitter) that Clinton, 78, is in good spirits and grateful for the high-quality care he is receiving.
Clinton is being treated at Georgetown University Medical Center, Ureña confirmed.
Sources close to Clinton told MSNBC that his condition is not critical, and the former president is expected to recover soon.
Clinton served as the 42nd President of the United States from 1993 to 2001, with his time in office marked by the Lewinsky scandal and subsequent impeachment, from which he emerged politically unscathed.
His wife, Hillary Clinton, also had a prominent political career, serving as a senator and secretary of state, and ran for president in 2016 but was defeated by Donald Trump.
