Manchester United ended a four-game losing streak and denied Liverpool a significant win in their chase for the Premier League title, securing a thrilling 2-2 draw at Anfield on Sunday.

The draw leaves Liverpool six points clear at the top of the table, with a game in hand, but United’s resilience halted their momentum after they had fallen behind.

Liverpool initially went ahead with Cody Gakpo’s equalizer and Mohamed Salah’s penalty, but United responded with a spectacular strike from Lisandro Martinez and an 80th-minute equalizer by Amad Diallo.

Liverpool coach Arne Slot had warned that United were better than their league position suggested, and the visitors proved him right with a much-improved performance after a disappointing loss to Newcastle earlier in the week.

United’s renewed confidence was on full display, with a stunning goal from Martinez and a composed equalizer from Diallo. Despite several chances, including a missed opportunity by Harry Maguire in stoppage time, the Red Devils held firm to earn a hard-fought point.
