Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has made changes to his cabinet, removing five of his commissioners in a move to enhance governance.

This was confirmed in a statement released on Tuesday by Mukhtar Gidado, the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.

The five commissioners affected by the reshuffle are Jamila Dahiru (Education), Abubakar Bununu (Internal Security and Home Affairs), Usman Danturaki (Information and Communication), Simon Yalams (Agriculture), and Yakubu Hamza (Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation).

In the statement, Governor Mohammed explained that the reshuffle was aimed at revitalizing governance and ensuring more effective service delivery for the people of Bauchi State.

As part of the restructuring, the governor also submitted the names of eight new nominees to the State Assembly for screening as potential commissioners.

The new nominees for the cabinet positions include Isa Tilde, Abdullahi Mohammed, Bala Lukshi, Usman Shehu, Iliyasu Gital, Titus Ketkukah, Adamu Gabarin, and Dr. Mohammed Lawal.

Governor Mohammed’s decision reflects his ongoing commitment to infuse fresh perspectives and energy into his administration, aiming to strengthen the government’s effectiveness in serving the people of Bauchi State.
