Tensions flared at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday as former Youth Leader, Sunday Ude-Okoye, was attacked and forced out of the ongoing Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting.

Ude-Okoye, who has been presenting himself as the party’s National Secretary, was confronted by supporters of the embattled National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu.

The confrontation quickly escalated into a chaotic scene, disrupting proceedings at the Wadata Plaza.

Eyewitnesses told DAILY GAZETTE that Ude-Okoye was seen shouting and directing a group of intimidating individuals dressed in black to enter the meeting, further heightening tensions.

Security personnel, including officers from the Nigerian Police Force and the Department of State Security Services (DSS), are currently working to restore order at the venue.
