The National President of the Afenifere Youth Council, Eniola Olajuni, has regained his freedom after spending 12 days in captivity.

His release was confirmed on Saturday by the National Secretary of the Youth Council, Biodun Aderohunmu, who simply stated, “He has been released.”

Olajuni was abducted on Monday, February 17, while traveling to Abuja for a meeting.

During his time in captivity, a viral video surfaced in which he disclosed that his abductors had demanded a ransom of N100 million and two tricycles for his release.

As of the time of this report, it remains unclear whether any ransom was paid or the circumstances surrounding his release.
