Suspected bandits disguised as operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have reportedly abducted 10 people from White Hill Hotel on Shiroro Road in Chanchaga Local Government Area of Niger State.
According to intelligence sources cited by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, the incident occurred around 4:58 a.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2025.
The armed men allegedly arrived at the hotel under the guise of conducting an official EFCC operation.
After disabling the hotel’s CCTV cameras, they moved from room to room, forcibly taking 10 guests to an undisclosed location.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police, State Intelligence Department (Acpol SID), confirmed that an investigation is underway to track down the kidnappers and rescue the victims.
Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities as security forces work to uncover the full details of the attack and bring those responsible to justice.
