The Rivers State House of Assembly has adjourned its sittings indefinitely.

The decision was taken during Friday’s plenary session, which was presided over by Speaker Martin Amaewhule.

The adjournment comes in response to a letter from Governor Siminalayi Fubara, proposing Wednesday as the date for the re-presentation of the 2025 budget, in line with a recent Supreme Court judgment.
