The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced an extension to the registration period for the 2025 Direct Entry (DE) examination, surpassing the previously set deadline of Monday, April 7, 2025.

JAMB made the announcement on Sunday through a statement from its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin.

The registration, which commenced on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, will remain open until further notice, according to the board.

JAMB urged candidates wishing to register to visit any of the Board’s designated Professional Registration Centres (PRCs) starting Monday, and continue until the official closing date is confirmed.

The extension comes amid ongoing investigations into candidates suspected of submitting fraudulent A-Level results during the registration process.

In its statement, JAMB explained that it has put in place measures to detect individuals using such fraudulent credentials.

The board also called on candidates who have previously submitted fake results to voluntarily withdraw, noting that the investigation will now extend to include students who have been admitted with such fraudulent credentials.
