Hon. Barr. Edeoga,
The former Labour Party governorship candidate in the 2023 general elections in Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Barr. Chijioke Edeoga, was on Saturday welcomed with an overwhelming show of support during his visit to Enugu East Local Government Area for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) monthly meeting.
A viral video of the event captured jubilant scenes as party loyalists and supporters trooped out in large numbers, chanting songs of solidarity and waving excitedly.
The atmosphere was electrified with drums and chants reverberating across the venue, celebrating Edeoga’s return to the party’s fold.
Edeoga, who recently rejoined the PDP following overtures from the state leadership of the party, appeared visibly moved by the enthusiastic reception.
His visit was primarily to welcome the former Commissioner for Rural Development in Enugu State, Deacon Obinna Mbaeke and other labour Party members who also returned to the People’s Democratic Party.
DAILY GAZETTE correspondent reports that the meeting attracted several notable political figures, including the former Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Edward Ubosi, the Executive Chairman of Enugu East LGA, Hon. Beloved Dan Anike, among others.
