As Christians across the world mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Executive Chairman of Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State, Hon. John Ogbodo has extended warm Easter greetings to the Christian faithful in the state, urging them to reflect on the values of love, sacrifice, and unity which the season represents.
In a goodwill message released on Sunday, Hon. Ogbodo described the Easter celebration as a time for deep spiritual reflection and renewal, calling on the people of Enugu to remain steadfast in their faith and hopeful for a better future.
He used the opportunity to commend the remarkable efforts of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in steering the affairs of the state with vision and determination.
The Council Chairman noted that the ongoing reforms in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and digital innovation reflect the governor’s commitment to transforming Enugu State into a model for development in Nigeria.
He further urged residents to continue supporting the policies and programmes of the Mbah-led administration, adding that progress can only be sustained through unity, cooperation, and shared responsibility between the government and the people.
“As we celebrate the victory of life over death this Easter, let us remember the essence of Christ’s resurrection — love, peace, and hope. I urge all Christians to uphold these values in our daily lives and to pray for the peace and progress of our dear state. Let us also continue to support the visionary leadership of Governor Peter Mbah, who is working tirelessly to deliver the dividends of democracy to our people,” he stated.
