For the 12th time in 2024, Nigeria’s National Grid has experienced a collapse.
The National Grid’s official Twitter account confirmed the setback, stating that the collapse occurred at approximately 2:09 pm on Wednesday.
They assured that efforts to restore power would soon begin.
This incident was also verified by Jos Electricity Distribution Company (Disco), which reported that the collapse occurred at 1:33 pm, causing a disruption in power supply to its feeders.
The company, however, expressed hope for a swift recovery of the grid and a return to normal power supply for its customers.
This marks the 12th grid failure of the year, with the previous 11 occurring between January and November 2024.
