The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State has reiterated its commitment to reclaiming power in 2027, with plans to address the alleged wrongs committed by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
This was revealed by the PDP Secretary in the state, Sa’idu Adamu, who urged the public to remain patient as the party strategizes for the upcoming election.
In a separate statement, the PDP’s 2023 gubernatorial candidate for Kaduna State, Rt. Hon. Isa Mohammed Ashiru, extended warm Christmas greetings to Christians across the state.
Ashiru encouraged people to reflect on the values of kindness, unity, and peace during the festive season, despite the economic difficulties many Nigerians are facing.
“Christmas is a time for more than celebration; it is an opportunity to embrace forgiveness, kindness, and love, values exemplified by Jesus Christ,” Ashiru said.
He called on Christians to support those in need and promote peace within their communities, contributing to a more just and harmonious society.
Ashiru also prayed for God’s blessings upon all families and encouraged citizens to travel safely and celebrate responsibly.
Meanwhile, during the distribution of Christmas gifts organized by Senator Lawal Adamu Usman (Mr. LA) for Christians in his constituency, the PDP Secretary expressed dissatisfaction with the delayed payment of December salaries to civil servants in the state.
He criticized the Kaduna State Government for its lack of empathy, pointing out that many states had already paid their workers in time for Christmas.
“It is insensitive for the Kaduna State Government to delay the payment of December salaries, especially without the promised increase in the minimum wage. This has left many workers and their families in a difficult position during a time when they need support the most,” Adamu stated.
In conclusion, the PDP Secretary reaffirmed the party’s resolve to regain power in both Kaduna and at the national level in the 2027 elections, promising to rectify what he described as the APC’s misrule, which he claims has set back the progress of the people and the nation.
“By the grace of Allah, PDP will return to power in 2027, righting the wrongs caused by APC’s mismanagement,” he added.
