Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevweri, has dismissed Ifeanyi Osuoza from his position as the Commissioner for Information, citing poor performance during his brief tenure.

Sources close to the government indicated that Osuoza’s dismissal followed numerous complaints regarding his handling of the ministry.

In the interim, Charles Aniagwu, the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads), will temporarily assume responsibility for both the Ministry of Information and the Ministry of Works, effective from Monday.

Aniagwu, who had previously served as Chief Press Secretary and Commissioner for Information under the administration of former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, will oversee the two ministries until a permanent solution is found.

Dr. Fred Latimo Oghenesivbe, Director General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communication, confirmed the development, stating that Osuoza has been briefed on the decision.

An official announcement from the governor is expected soon.
