The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will officially introduce Eric Chelle as the new head coach of the Super Eagles on Monday.

The unveiling ceremony will take place at the media conference room of the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

Chelle, who was appointed recently, will be joined by his assistant coaches, who will also be presented during the event.

The 47-year-old coach has been tasked with steering the Super Eagles to secure a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the next round of qualifiers (Matchdays 5 and 6) set for March.

Chelle, who earned five caps for the Mali national team, has previously managed clubs including GS Consolat, FC Martigues, Boulogne, and MC Oran.

Notably, at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire, Chelle guided Mali to the semi-finals, where they were narrowly defeated 2-1 by the hosts and eventual champions, Côte d’Ivoire, after extra time.

During his playing career, Chelle represented clubs such as Martigues, Valenciennes, Lens, Istres, and Chamois Niortais in France.
