Three people were reportedly kidnapped by gunmen around 8pm on Wednesday in Oba, Anambra State.
A viral video obtained by DAILY GAZETTE shows the recorder shouting, “They have been kidnapped.”
The victims, whose vehicles—a 2008 Corolla, RX 350, and RX 330—were abandoned along the Oba road, were taken by the gunmen under mysterious circumstances.
According to eyewitnesses, the gunmen struck suddenly, forcing the victims into their vehicle before fleeing the scene.
The abandoned cars were discovered by passersby, but the victims remain missing.
This incident comes just days after similar reports of abductions in other parts of Anambra.
As of the time of filing this report, the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, has yet to comment on the incident.
