Hamas has rejected a proposal by former U.S. President Donald Trump to relocate Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Egypt and Jordan.

In a statement issued on Monday, the group denounced the plan as an “aggressive scheme” designed to displace Palestinians and erode their national identity.

Hamas emphasized that Palestinians, who have endured decades of displacement and violence, especially in northern Gaza, remain resolute in their attachment to their homeland and historical rights.

“The Palestinian people will not accept any plan that seeks to uproot or displace them,” the statement read.

Hamas also criticized the U.S. government for supporting Israeli policies that they say violate Palestinian rights.

The group urged Arab and Islamic nations, particularly Egypt and Jordan, to strongly oppose the relocation plan and bolster support for the Palestinian cause.

“They should assist in rebuilding Gaza and strengthen the Palestinian presence on their land,” Hamas added, calling for solidarity and resilience against displacement efforts.
