Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reiterated his determination to dismantle Hamas and secure the release of all hostages held by the group.
His statement followed the completion of a fifth hostage-prisoner exchange on Saturday as part of a temporary ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
In a video address, Netanyahu declared, “We will eliminate Hamas, and we will return our hostages,” while condemning the group as “monsters.”
His remarks came after three hostages were released in Gaza, appearing frail and compelled to speak publicly during the handover.
