Renowned music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has stirred controversy after deleting a social media post in which he publicly expressed love for Natasha Irobosa Osawaru, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly.
On Wednesday, February 11, 2025, the singer posted a video on Instagram, professing his admiration for the lawmaker and revealing his intention to marry her.
However, the post was quickly removed after it gained widespread attention.
“Yes, I love her. She’s amazing, she’s cool. I want to marry her,” he stated in the video.
Addressing concerns about his relationship with his ex-wife, Annie Macaulay Idibia, 2Baba reassured fans that there was no hostility between them.
“On the other side, Annie and I are not fighting, we are not quarrelling. We have a good understanding of ourselves and what’s going on,” he said.
In an effort to dispel rumors that Natasha was responsible for his marital issues, he strongly defended her.
“Honourable Natasha has seen. She has been called all sorts of names. She is a young, brilliant, amazing woman. She had nothing to do with what’s happening between Annie and me in our marriage. She has absolutely nothing to do with that, but I see everybody allegedly trying to rope her into everything,” he asserted.
Despite the singer’s clarifications, many online observers suspect that the drama surrounding his love life and recent divorce may be a publicity stunt.
Meanwhile, Natasha has publicly denied any romantic involvement with 2Baba, dismissing the speculations surrounding their alleged affair.
