The popular reality TV show, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), is back for its ninth season, offering a grand prize of N100 million and a new SUV to the winner.
Busola Tejumola, the Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice, announced the details at a news conference in Lagos on Tuesday.

The show will commence on July 28 and run for 71 days until October 6.
Tejumola highlighted that this year’s edition promises to be filled with excitement and drama.
“The ninth season of Big Brother Naija will go beyond drama, incorporating various blends of unique entertainment,” she said.
In a twist, housemates will be paired up for certain challenges.

“The challenging aspect of the show is that housemates will enter the house in pairs and complete some tasks together,” Tejumola explained.
“For more details on the theme, viewers should tune in to the premiere on Sunday, July 28. The show will be packed with fun, vibes, emotions, drama, dynamics, and intriguing twists.”
Tejumola also mentioned that the Big Brother Naija Buzz, hosted by Toke Makinwa, will provide behind-the-scenes content for fans.

“Expect something special to be revealed on the night of the premiere. This season will feature new twists, and although the traditional Head of House challenge will not occur as usual, the pool and Saturday night parties will continue, with the show airing 24 hours a day.”
Tope Oshunkeye, Head of Marketing at MultiChoice, introduced some of the lucky games that will run during the show.
One game, “Lock-in,” will allow viewers to predict the winners of the immunity challenges. Each correct prediction will earn viewers N1 million each.

Oshunkeye noted that last season’s viewers received rewards totaling N120 million.
The anticipation for BBNaija Season 9 is high as it promises to deliver a thrilling and engaging experience for both the housemates and the audience.
